Stephen Merchant

Merchant, along with Ricky Gervais, is behind the acclaimed BBC series The Office.

During a December 11, 2005 podcast[1] of 'The Ricky Gervais Show'[2] on Guardian Unlimited, Merchant relates the story of a homeless woman who invites him to her church. He declines, saying he doesn't believe in God, and subsequently gets into an argument with her.
