Morgan Brennan is a CNBC host of Squawk Alley and covers manufacturing, defense, and space. She previously worked at Forbes. Morgan Brennan graduated summa cum laude from NYU with a major in Social Science and a double concentration in Anthropology and Media Studies.
On November 30th, 2018 at 11:40 am on CNBC, Morgan made a comment about those devastated by natural disasters in California, stating "Our hearts and thoughts go out to those folks." This comment is unusual as religious people often say "thoughts and prayers" in this place. By saying "hearts and thoughts" Brennan put a science based approach to her empathy. Rather than use the word prayer which does nothing but self-delude the person praying, Brennan instead expressed a feeling of empathy and warmth without ruining her viewpoint by inserting prayer.
