Brian Cox - Actor


Brian Denis Cox CBE (born 1 June 1946) is a Scottish actor known for his leading performances on stage and television, as well as supporting roles in film. His illustrious career has earned him numerous accolades, including two Laurence Olivier Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Golden Globe Award. He has also been recognized for his contributions to drama with an appointment to the Order of the British Empire at the rank of Commander.

Cox's body of work spans a wide range of genres and mediums. He has starred in numerous productions with the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company. His filmography includes notable films such as "Manhunter" (1986), "Rob Roy" (1995), "Braveheart" (1995), "Rushmore" (1998), "The Bourne Identity" (2002), and "Churchill" (2017). He is also known for his portrayal of Logan Roy on the HBO series "Succession" (2018–2023).

In terms of his personal beliefs, Cox has publicly stated that he rejects the label of atheist. He has expressed that while he has no personal faith, he acknowledges that there might be a place for God within the framework of science.
